Hostmonster Review

Thursday, February 25th, 2010

Plain and simple, the reason why I chose Hostmonster was because of their legendary customer support. When shopping for a web hosting company, the support has the be one of the most crucial things to look out for. When something goes wrong, and believe me it always does with any host, you need to be sure that their support is open 24 hours a day every day of the week. I’ll explain why Hostmonster topped the list and why customer support is important.

Take a look at Hostmonster hosting reviews to get an idea of what I mean. Now that the interruption is over, I will continue telling you why customer support is imperative.

As mentioned before, anything can happen at any given time that you may not be aware of. This could be a power outage or a corrupt hard drive. Most of these problems are out of your control and there’s nothing you can do about it. But it’s important to have reassurance that issues like those will be handled promptly and that you’ll be notified of such instances. A web hosting provider needs to be able to provide quality support that is fast and reliable or you will foresee further issues that arise.

There are many reviews that say Hostmonster does indeed live up to that hype. If you don’t quite agree with me, look at these web host reviews to see what I mean. You can open up two windows and compare other web hosts together to see how they stack up.

Feel free to test out the support staff by asking them questions before you pull out that credit card. Read about previous customers and their experiences by looking at these web hosting service reviews.

Lower your expectations and know that you won’t find a 100% perfect web host. But also know that it is not impossible to find a first rate company with quality customer service. Because I have tried Hostmonster before, I can tell you that they have been nothing but great with me. Take a look at the links above in this Hostmonster article to see more about the company and what it provides. Leave a review like the others and let people know how you really feel. Have a good one and thanks for reading this.

Best Web Host Review

Friday, February 19th, 2010

Looking for web hosting services and providers can be really daunting. If you look on the internet now, you’ll find a plethora of web sites that review web hosting providers but they do not give accurate reviews. These so-called review sites get paid by web hosting advertising so that they remove the negative ratings. When doing your own research, you need to find a hosting provider that has really good live chat support or at least email support. Another requirement you should have is to have lots of storage space at over 1GB.

Take a look at natural web host reviews which are not swayed by advertisers. This is a good place to start when doing your web hosting research.

In order for your success of your website, you need to have a good hosting provider. Having the best designed website won’t mean anything if your hosting provider loads up the page slow. Next you should look at some of the individual needs that you need to look out for. If you have a lot of traffic and need to run advanced apps, you may need a dedicated server. Or if you have a small budget and have little space requirements, you can get shared hosting for relatively cheap.

Here is a hosting provider review that you can read about and it is a PowWeb Review. These reviews are neutral and submitted by real customers who have actually tried the hosting service. Let people know if you ever had a bad experience with a hosting provider so other people can learn. You will be helping yourself out along with other people.

Here is another one that you can check out: ixwebhosting review. Let me know what you think about this site and your experience with web hosting. Good luck with your search for web hosting providers and don’t settle for just one.

Why did I choose Bluehost as my hosting provider

Monday, December 28th, 2009

Being rather yellow in web hosting, I chose BlueHost mostly for the prices. Because it has  fairly good reviews and reliability they boasted in their website. For a person like me, they seemed really appealing for a newbie. They’ve been on the market since 1996, which also adds to their credibility. Generally speaking, I found their customer ratings and reviews are mostly positve, so I thought they would be a good choice to start with. What mostly attracted me was:

1. All the necessary standard features of a web host: cPanel, multiple database support, FTP, and email, to name just some;

2. Both storage and bandwidth are unlimited, as well as subdomains. (the limitations concern the number of databases - 50 each for MySQL and Postgre - and FTP and email accounts -1,000 and 2500, respectively);

3. I thought it is cheap enough, for a 24 months contract is only.95/month (no setup fee, free domain included);

4. Great support and very professional, what i like the best is their support thorough live chat. When calling I was never put on hold for very long, and all my questions were successfully answered by the incredibly patient staff;

5. Last but not least, I like using cPanel, which is very easy to use, and everything was installed in it.

There are some cons, though:

First of all, the pricing of the short term (3 months) contract  - for those interested $9.95 / m is a bit over charging.

And of course there were some negative reviews and complaints regarding to bluehost service - which I have not experienced since I joined them , the complaints were usually about that their accounts were terminated without any notices, I guess the reasons are that the staff members in bluehost found violation and fraudulent activity on their sites, again, it is only a guess, as my sites have never been terminated.”) I must admit I’ve felt quite anxious having read them. Still, where there are many users, complaints are a natural thing to appear.

All in all, I’d recommend BlueHost for creating personal websites to beginners like me, but if you’re business-oriented, then I suggest gathering more detailed information about their features and service from their home page and other reliable sources before signing up.
